A Weekend for Wrapping Things Up

Wow, those aprons took a long time! I don't know what's wrong with my sewing machine, but it was very needy this time around. I had to oil it and rest it and talk nice to it the whole time. What should have taken about an hour took two full evenings. My sister asked me to make some aprons for a Julie/Julia Project party she is going. The weird picture of me up top is one of the aprons I came up with, after much ado.

Also done this weekend...the play!! Yay! I get my husband back! Actually, he didn't have to be at the church until about 5 on Saturday so I got to spend most of the day with him then. We went to breakfast-well, we went to Waterloo at noon and ordered breakfast-and then we shopped. We bought the stuff for the aprons and a really great bday present for my dad, (it's so perfect! But I don't know if he'll read this or not, so I can't say what it is) and a hummingbird feeder. Next weekend we have all to ourselves!! It's been a while!

  1. That is one mighty fine apron! You should sell it!

Also, it makes me happy/sad to know that one of your favorite things to do with Michael is sit on the couch. That and driving down the road are things I really *really* want a husband for. More than anything, except killing bugs. (Sorry, I read all three blogs in one fell swoop, so this isn't actually the appropriate entry for that comment. But you'll figure it out.)
