More Grace!

So, I heard that a certain Nonna has been waiting to see a few more pictures of Miss Grace. I just got done editing them today so, here you go!

These were taken about a week ago and she already looks different! I'll try to keep you in pictures, Nonna!

To schedule a newborn session, email me at jenni@jennirobertsphotography.com

(psst - newborn sessions like this are done about a week after the baby is born, so schedule a tentative date based on your due date and we'll work it out whenever your baby comes!)

Welcome, Jackson!

Baby Jackson stopped by our house for a little photo shoot this week. He was not the biggest fan of having his picture taken, but I'm sure glad he came!

Welcome, Jackson! We're glad you're here!

Golf-a-Palooza

And now - all the pictures of Michael golfing you could ever hope to see! Michael woke me up from a nap on Saturday and asked me if I wanted to go to the golf course with him.

I love being woken up from naps and I looove walking around in 100+ degree heat, so I hopped up and said, "Why didn't you wake me up earlier! Let's go! Let's go right now!"

On the way Michael pulled into a Sonic and got me a strawberry slush. (Total surprise - it was in no way a condition of me agreeing to go with him. Probably.)  The picture on the bottom left is of the pro shop. Only the fanciest courses for my baby!

All right. So it wasn't fancy - or for the most part green. But the trees were pretty and, really, is there anywhere in town that is green right now?

Michael's taken a class and practiced with his friends since he started playing golf in January, and I don't know anything about it, but I think this looks like a golf swing:

So golf wasn't that bad. I don't know if I'll be invited back since I kept telling him to wait until I set up the shot before he hit the ball. Next time I want to drive a cart!

I Love Compliments!

Even when I cannot reasonably take credit for that which is being complimented, I am happy to graciously accept the compliment on behalf of the person who really deserves it.

In this case that person is Hanna Brooks Nation of Gadabout. She designed my business card, and I don't know that I've ever gotten as many compliments on anything as I have on that card!

Michael and I went to an event for the Knot (did you know I advertise on the Knot?) on Tuesday night at The Vista on Seward Hill, which was absolutely gorgeous! Everything was gorgeous actually - they had several different wedding vendors help put on the party and we all hung out and ate and drank and had a grand old time.

During this grand time that we were having, we traded cards. I (with Michael's skillful assistance) handed out upwards of 50 cards and almost every time, the recipient said, "Oh! What a cute card!"  "I just love your card!" "Who designed your card?!" or something to that effect.

So here it is! The front of my business card:

The card is actually square and that fact alone makes it stand out. (Although it did not give me an advantage in the door prize drawing like I was hoping! Shoot!)

So Hanna designs adorable logos and has several examples on her website - not all necessarily including her trademark chicks.

But if you don't find yourself in need of a logo or business card design, she also designs adorable stationary.

Which I would accept as happily as I do the above-mentioned compliments! Just sayin'...

It's A Girl!

Ms. Grace Ashtynn Alguire gave her parents a little bit of a surprise when she arrived yesterday morning!

They were fully prepared for the Dr. to announce the arrival of a Ben Alguire. Even though they decided not to find out the gender before they baby was born, they were pretty much convinced they knew what it was. But they didn't! Grace got here at about 3:30 Friday morning.

Momma & Baby are both doing great!

And so is Daddy.

Grace has gotten to meet a lot of new friends already.

And Momma embarassed her by smooching on her in front of her new friends. Probably better get used to it, Gracie! She loooooves you!

And we love you, too! We're so glad you're here, Grace!

Just What I've Always Wanted!

That's what Ethan (Michael's cousin) said after every single present he opened. Of course, then he would toss it over his shoulder onto the pile of toys and move on to the next gift. Still, his exclamations made us feel pretty good.
You know it's a good party when your face is stained blue at the end. At least it matched his shirt. (As well as the rest of the icing that ended up in his hair. He really had a good time!)

Even if he did need a little help blowing out the candles.

There were also friends to help him eat the cake! (Isn't that belt cute?)

The only thing that was not what he always wanted were the socks that came along with another gift. He didn't even pretend - they went straight on the floor!

Happy Birthday, Ethan!
